I hope you had a great Christmas! (Or holiday if you celebrate something different.) Mine was amazing! I flew from Buenos Aires, Argentina to San Antonio, Texas to visit my extended family for two weeks. We talked, laughed, ate Texas barbeque, played video games and enjoyed each other’s company. My two nephews have grown a lot in the last year and they’re quickly becoming young men! Where am I going with this? Well, I almost didn’t go. Why? Because I told myself it would be too disruptive to my work schedule and it was too expensive. I mean, I had the money to do it. But it just felt expensive and a big hassle. It didn’t feel like it was the right time. But I was wrong. These past two weeks was EXACTLY what I needed. But how often do we know in our hearts what we need to do but decide against it because we find a way to rationalize the decision? “It’s too expensive.” All BS excuses to avoid feeling uncomfortable. This is how you miss out on life. What have you been putting off that you know you need to do? What do you need to say “Yes” to next year? Here’s to an amazing 2025!
